ストーリー概要｜Synopsis

ソウルでレズビアンバー〈レインボー〉を営むマノクは、母の訃報をきっかけに店を畳み、故郷イバンリへと戻る。しかし、村の長を務める元夫の妨害や、偏見に満ちた地域社会の現実に直面した彼女は、自ら村長選挙に立候補することを決意するが――。

2025年の富川国際ファンタスティック映画祭で〈観客賞〉を受賞し、主演のヤン・マルボク（『同じ下着を着るふたりの女』『イカゲーム』出演）が〈俳優特別言及（Special Mention）〉を受けた本作。韓国の地方を舞台に、ジェンダーと世代を超えて生きる力を描いた、ハートフルなヒューマン・コメディ。現在、韓国国内外の映画祭で“マノク旋風”を巻き起こしている。頑固でチャーミングなマノクが繰り広げる、「笑いと痛み、そして連帯」の物語。

Manok runs a lesbian bar called Rainbow in Seoul. Upon hearing the news of her mother’s death, she decides to close the bar and return to her hometown, Ibang-ri. However, when she faces interference from her ex-husband—who serves as the village head—and the deeply rooted prejudices of the local community, she makes a bold decision to run in the village head election herself.
The film won the Audience Award at the 2025 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, where lead actress Yang Mal-bok (The Apartment with Two Women, Squid Game) also received a Special Mention for Acting.

Set in rural Korea, this heartwarming human comedy depicts the strength to live beyond gender and generation. The film has sparked a “Manok sensation” across film festivals in Korea and abroad, capturing audiences with its story of laughter, pain, and solidarity, led by the stubborn yet charming Manok.
